Sage was reactive and we didn’t feel safe taking her anywhere. The neighborhood walks were stressful – other dogs triggered aggression, strangers made her nervous. We were stuck. Through trust-building and desensitization, Sage’s reactiveness transformed gradually. Benny taught us to read her triggers and manage distance. We learned what situations were above her threshold and which ones we could work through together. Within eight weeks, neighborhood walks became calm. Sage still notices other dogs, but she looks to us instead of reacting. We can now introduce her to new people without anxiety. The biggest shift wasn’t just her behavior – it was understanding that her reactiveness was fear, not aggression. With the right approach, fearful dogs can become confident. If your rescue is reactive or aggressive, Benny’s method addresses the root cause and rebuilds trust from the ground up.
