Luna’s reactiveness was off the charts for such a small dog. She’d panic and snap at strangers, other dogs, and loud noises. We nearly gave up. Benny showed us how to read her stress signals and manage her threshold. With proper management and gradual exposure, Luna’s panic response decreased. We learned to recognize when she was uncomfortable and when she could handle new experiences. Now Luna still has a reactive temperament, but it’s manageable. She doesn’t snap anymore. What’s remarkable is watching her realize that new situations aren’t threats. For small rescue dogs with extreme reactiveness, Benny’s approach teaches you to work *with* their temperament, not against it. Luna’s anxiety is reduced because we learned to set her up for success.
